I worked for a man who owned a company, and he couldn’t handle any conflict. He would just wave his arms in the air and say “I am going to be sick, I am going to be sick” The problem would still be there. He thought that if he ignored a problem, it would go away in 6-months. The ignored problem got worse in 6-months. I had to fire all the people and do all the disciplinary actions with employees who were stealing from the company. I finally quit after working for him for a year and a half. I just couldn’t handle his fairy tale world anymore.

i know a friend that always has to be the best in everything, and is very competitive, and i can only tell you this – everyone hates him, and he has no friends because he always acts smart and tough.

How do you handle conflict? Pick one of three. I like to choose my own battles. I ignore small things, compromise when I must and flat out go for broke when the passion arises. Just like everybody else.
